La Salle Pyramid is an unofficially named peak located above La Salle Lake within the John Muir wilderness. This peak stands behind the more famous Feather, Royce and Merriam Peaks. From Pine Creek Pass Trailhead, follow the old mining road and then trail to Pine Lake. Continue past Honeymoon Lake, and shortly thereafter leave the trail and head towards Royce Pass. Skirt the shores of Royce Lake and climb the pass between Feather and Royce Peaks. The northwest ridge of La Salle Pyramid may prove easier to climb than the northeast ridge.
Other Challenge peaks in this area include Feather Peak, Merriam Peak or Bearpaw Peak. Bonus peaks might include Royce Peak, Spire Peak, Treasure Benchmark, among many others.
